Tashkent: Saturday’s AFC Champions League second round play-off between Uzbekistan’s Lokomotiv and Kuwait Sports Club has been postponed following heavy snowfall at Pakhtakor Stadium.
The game between Uzbek League runners-up Lokomotiv and 2013 AFC Cup winners Kuwait SC was scheduled to kick-off at 3pm local time on Saturday but weather permitting, will now begin at 2pm local time on Sunday.
Kuwait SC had earned their place in the second round following last weekend’s 1-0 win over Iraq’s Al Shorta, with the winner at Pakhtakor Stadium advancing to face either 2013 AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Lekhwiya from Qatar or Bahrain’s Al Hidd next weekend for a place in the group stage of this year’s tournament.
