Kuwait City: Qadsia SC boss Antonio Puche has been sacked and replaced by local coach Rashed Badeh following last week's disappointing draw with Tajikistan’s FC Istiklol and wavering domestic form.
The Kuwaiti champions started their AFC Cup campaign on an encouraging note by beating Turkmenistan club Ahal FC 2-0 in late February before downing Arbil of Iraq 1-0 on March 11.
However, these were followed by indifferent performances domestically as the reigning AFC Cup champions drew 0-0 away to Al Jahra in the Kuwaiti Premier League and then lost 4-2 to Burgan in the Federation Cup which preceded their 2-2 draw with Istiklol.
Following Puche's dismissal, the Kuwaiti 2014 triple winners downed Khaitan 5-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.
The club, who currently sit top of Group C of the AFC Cup, will continue their continental campaign by taking on Istiklol at the Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe on April 15.
