Abu Dhabi: Head coach Felix Sanchez believes pressure will not play a part when his Qatar side face Korea Republic in Friday’s eagerly anticipated AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 quarter-final encounter.
Qatar head into the game against one of the tournament favourites having won Group E and then beating Iraq 1-0 in the Round of 16 – a run of victories that has seen them score 11 times and keep four successive clean sheets.
Despite Qatar never having progressed beyond this stage in any of their previous nine appearances at the competition, Sanchez believes his squad is adequately equipped to cope with the undoubtedly intense nature of an AFC Asian Cup quarter-final tie.

Abu Dhabi: Son Heung-min not having scored is not a concern for head coach Paulo Bento as long as Korea Republic keep finding the net in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.
The two-time champions face Qatar in a mouth-watering quarter-final at the Zayed Sports City Stadium on Friday and Bento said what he expects to see from the Taeguk Warriors is them creating chances and putting them away.
In Qatar, the East Asians will be facing the team with the highest number of goals scored thus far in the competition and Bento said it is crucial for his team to put their chances away against Felix Sanchez's impressive side.

Abu Dhabi: Head coach Felix Sanchez believes Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Iraq which propelled Qatar into the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 quarter-finals only served to underline the impressive team spirit which exists within his talented squad.
Bassam Al Rawi’s sublime free-kick in the second half of an absorbing tie helped seal the success, as Qatar racked up a fourth successive victory to guarantee themselves a third AFC Asian Cup quarter-final appearance after reaching the same stage in both 2000 and 2011.
With their last eight encounter against Korea Republic to come at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium on Friday, Sanchez feels Qatar’s current campaign in the United Arab Emirates points to a particularly bright future for his team – especially with the 2022 FIFA World Cup edging ever closer.

Abu Dhabi: A glorious Bassam Al Rawi free-kick proved the difference on Tuesday as Qatar beat a determined Iraq 1-0 to progress through to the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 quarter-finals.
Al Rawi struck in the second half of a fascinating encounter, one which swung one way and then the other before being settled by the number 15's superb effort at an atmospheric Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The victory leaves Qatar on course for a first-ever Continental crown and they will now meet Korea Republic in the last eight on Friday.

Al Ain: Son Heung-min was a relieved man after Korea Republic saw off Bahrain to advance to the quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 despite a disappointing performance that saw the West Asian side take Paulo Bento’s team to extra-time.
The Koreans looked to be on their way to a comfortable win when Hwang Hee-chan put them in front two minutes before half-time but, after Bento’s side missed a string of chances early in the second period, Bahrain battled back to level through Mohammed Al Romaihi.
That took the game into extra-time, where a fine header from Kim Jin-su in stoppage time at the end of the first period won the match for the Koreans to set up their meeting with Qatar in the last eight.

Dubai: Korea Republic, says head coach Paulo Bento, will continue playing their brand of football after the Taeguk Warriors advanced to the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 quarter-finals by overcoming a gritty Bahrain on Tuesday.
Bento’s men needed extra-time to see off Bahrain 2-1 in their Round of 16 tie at the Rashid Stadium to set up a meeting with the impressive Qatar next.
Goals by Hwang Hee-chan and substitute Kim Jin-su secured the East Asians their passage to the quarter-finals but they were not at their fluid best against Bahrain and Bento said Korea Republic have to play in the style they are most comfortable with.

Dubai: Korea Republic needed extra time to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, defeating Bahrain 2-1 in their Round of 16 tie at the Rashid Stadium on Tuesday.
Substitute Kim Jin-su was the Korea Republic hero with his headed winner at the tail end of the first period of extra-time and the two-time champions will now face either Qatar or Iraq, who play later on Tuesday, in the last eight at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Sports City Stadium on Friday.
Bahrain can walk tall despite the defeat as they took the match to the Koreans and in scoring, became the first team in the tournament to breach the East Asians defence.
