Beijing: China have announced their final 23 man squad that will travel to Australia in a bid to win the nation’s first AFC Asian Cup.
Alain Perrin's side features a host of quality players headlined by the 2013 AFC Player of the Year Zheng Zhi.
Zheng will be hoping he can link up with a potent strike force which includes Guangzhou Evergrande colleague Gao Lin and Shandong Lueng's Yang Xu. Yang is currently in fine form, having scored three goals in China's recent back-to-back victories over Kyrgyzstan.
After stumbling through qualification for the 2015 tournament, China have subsequently turned their form around losing only one of the last ten matches.
They will finalise their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup when they take on Oman on January 5 before opening their campaign with a Group B clash against Saudi Arabia on January 10.
