Suwon had lost the first leg against their domestic rivals 1-0 last week, but turned the tie around with a 3-0 victory in the second leg at Suwon World Cup Stadium on Wednesday, with Kim Gun-hee netting a brace and Waguininho rounding off the scoring in added time.
On the back of the result, the Montenegrin, who is the AFC Champions League's all-time second highest scorer with 32 goals, spoke with t**he-AFC.com** about the game and his thoughts on the latter stages of the tournament.

Suwon: A brace from Kim Gun-hee helped secure a 3-0 win for Suwon Samsung Bluewings over Ulsan Hyundai in the second leg of their 2018 AFC Champions League Round of 16 clash, a victory that catapulted the two-time Asian club champions into the quarter-finals with a 3-1 on aggregate.
Trailing 1-0 after the first leg in Ulsan, Suwon knew they needed to score at least twice to advance and Seo Jung-won put out a very attacking line-up in the hopes of doing just that.
Kim broke the deadlock midway through the first half when he got on the end of a pinpoint free kick from Lee Ki-je to head his side into the lead in the 26th minute, and the 23-year-old then set the Suwon World Cup Stadium alight with his second of the game just five minutes later after being set up by Waguininho.

Kashima: Kashima Antlers head coach Go Oiwa attributed his side’s progression to the quarter-finals of the 2018 AFC Champions League to their never-say-die attitude on Wednesday, after they beat Shanghai SIPG 4-3 on aggregate in the Round of 16.
The Japanese team lost the second leg at Shanghai Stadium 2-1, but Shoma Doi’s 42nd-minute strike was enough to send the eight-time J.League champions into the last eight after their 3-1 win in the first leg.
Hulk gave Shanghai the lead on the night in the seventh minute and then found the net again from the penalty spot with nine minutes to play, but Kashima stood firm as the clock ticked down to see out the tie.

Jeonju: Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors head coach Choi Kang-hee has admitted that it is first mission accomplished after Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Buriram United in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 second leg saw his side advance to the quarter-finals as 4-3 aggregate winners.
The two-time continental champions lost the first leg 3-2 in Thailand but Son Jun-ho’s stoppage-time away goal had left the K League 1 side in a strong position ahead of the reverse fixture at Jeonju World Cup Stadium.
Ricardo Lopes volleyed home a superb opener inside 20 minutes to ease any nerves on Tuesday and, after dominating the game, Lee Jae-sung curled in a fabulous free-kick with six minutes remaining as Jeonbuk sealed a 2-0 victory to return to the last eight.

Guangzhou: Tianjin Quanjian goalkeeper Zhang Lu believes the clean sheet in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 first leg against Guangzhou Evergrande was key in his side’s progression to the quarter-finals.
The Chinese Super League teams played out a scoreless draw in Tianjin last week to mean an away goal on Tuesday could leave Guangzhou in real trouble, and that was exactly how the match panned out as a 2-2 draw at Tianhe Stadium saw the visitors advance on away goals.

Tehran: Mame Thiam has insisted that Esteghlal are aiming for a spot in the 2018 AFC Champions League final after the striker’s treble in the 3-1 Round of 16 second leg win over fellow Iranian side Zobahan on Tuesday saw them advance to the quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate.
The Tehran side conceded in added time in last week’s first leg as a 1-0 defeat in Isfahan left them with plenty to do at Azadi Stadium, where more than 75,000 fans generated a fantastic atmosphere at the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national stadium.
Thiam put the hosts in front from the spot shortly after the 10-minute mark to level the tie on aggregate, before the Senagalese forward’s stunning left-foot effort from distance put them 2-0 on the night four minutes before the interval.

Doha: Youssef El Arabi is sure Al Duhail can continue their march towards the latter stages of the AFC Champions League after the Qatari side defeated Al Ain 4-1 in the second leg of the Round of 16 on Tuesday to secure a place in the quarter-finals following an 8-3 aggregate win.
The victory was the Doha side’s eighth in a row on the continent and 20th in all competitions as the Qatar Stars League champions followed their 4-2 first leg win with an equally resounding performance as they continue to sweep all challengers aside.
Moroccan international El Arabi opened the scoring last week in Al Ain and the striker added another two to his tally at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium to mean he is now the tournament’s joint top scorer on nine goals.
