Kuala Lumpur: The 12 Asian hopefuls will identify their AFC U-20 Futsal Championship IR Iran 2019 group rivals in Thursday’s official draw. Here are some key facts to note.
Where and when is the draw ceremony?
The official draw will take place on Thursday (April 11) at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 15:30 (GMT+8).
Important facts
Instead of 21 teams as in the inaugural AFC U-20 Futsal Championship two years ago, the second edition will feature 12 sides who earned their spots after battling through the Qualifiers last December.
The tournament will be hosted by 2017 winners Islamic Republic of Iran from June 14 to 22, and the reigning champions were as impressive as their senior colleagues, powering through the Central Zone Qualifiers to claim top spot in Group A.
The 12 teams will be divided into four groups of three teams, with the group winners and runners-up advancing to the quarter-finals.

Tashkent: Afghanistan secured a comprehensive 4-1 win over Tajikistan in the AFC U20 Futsal Championship 2019 Central Zone play-off on Tuesday.
Due to 2019 hosts Islamic Republic of Iran's participation in the Qualifiers, and also finishing as Group A winners, meant both Afghanistan and Tajikistan are through to the Finals to complete Central Zone's three slot allocation.
Afghanistan took early control of the game and went ahead through Seyed Hossein Mousavi’s brace in the 12th and 16th minutes to take a 2-0 lead into half-time.
Abdul Razaq Momrak’s side continued to pressure their opponents in the second half and scored their third goal after Farzad Mahmoodi found the net nine minutes after the restart.

Fujairah: Saudi Arabia booked their place in the 2019 AFC U-20 Futsal Championship after overwhelming Bahrain 10-3 in the West Zone Playoff at the Fujairah Club Stadium on Sunday.
WEST ZONE
Play-off: Saudi Arabia 10-3 Bahrain
Mohammed Khalil Marran’s five goals steered Saudi Arabia to a resounding 10-3 victory over Bahrain.
Saudi Arabia got off to a strong start with Mohammed Khalil Marran scoring in the first minute.
Al Qasim doubled Saudi’s advantage in the eighth minute and Alwaleed Mohammed Alharbi made it 3-0 seconds later as Mubarak Ali M Alshahrani's side began to assert themselves in the game.
Al Qasim found the net in the 13th minute and Marran in the 16th before Abdullah Jamal Aldossari’s strike in the 29th minute gave Saudi Arabia a commanding 6-0 lead at half-time.

Kuala Lumpur: Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia confirmed their places in next year’s AFC U20 Futsal Championship Iran 2019 Finals after finishing as the top three teams in the ASEAN Zone Qualifiers on Sunday.
Thailand occupied top spot in the standings with 10 points, followed by Vietnam and Indonesia with eight and seven points respectively.

Kuala Lumpur: Lebanon and Iraq secured wins to top their groups in their AFC U-20 Futsal Championship Thailand 2019 West Zone Qualifiers on Saturday.
Divided into two groups, the six teams in the West Zone are competing for three available spots to the Finals. Winners of the respective groups are assured spots in the 2019 Finals, while the teams in second place will move on to a play-off, where the the winners will advance to the Finals.

Group A: Japan 4-2 Hong Kong
