| Bahrain joins AID27 programme |

KUALA LUMPUR: The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has been added to AFC’s AID27 programme after approval by the Technical and Vision Asia Committee on July 28.
BFA’s membership entitles them to receive a maximum of US$6,000 a month to hire qualified coaches.
The coaches must be employed at youth national team level and regional youth level with the AFC having the right to ensure all coaches possess the required qualifications.
AID27 is part of the Vision Asia project and provides financial assistance to specified member associations of AFC to assist them in hiring qualified coaches for non-senior national and regional programmes.
The scheme is aimed at developing grassroots and youth football. The addition of Bahrain boosts the number of countries benefiting from the programme to 28.
