Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has charged three clubs under the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Code with offences involving supporters during the latest round of the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup matches.
In the AFC Champions League, Guangzhou Evergrande (China PR) have been charged under Article 58 for discrimination and Article 65 relating spectator misconduct at their match against Eastern SC in Hong Kong on Tuesday evening.
Kawasaki Frontale (Japan) have been charged under Article 58 for a similar offence of discrimination at the game against Suwon Samsung Bluewings (Korea Republic) – also on Tuesday – in the Suwon World Cup Stadium.
In the AFC Cup, Lebanese side Nejmeh SC have been charged with under Article 58 for incidents of discrimination as well as under Article 65 relating to spectator misconduct, and a violation of security obligations following their match against Jordan’s Al Wehdat.
