Bangkok: Thailand were left to rue what could have been after Cameroon came from two goals down to seal a dramatic 3-2 friendly win on Monday.
The game started brightly for the Southeast Asian side when Buriram United’s Prakit Deeprom gave them a 15th minute lead, an advantage that was doubled shortly after the half hour mark when Cameroon’s Aurelien Chedjou turned the ball into his own net.
Cameroon, who beat Indonesia 1-0 last Wednesday, began their fightback shortly after the break however, Reims striker Benjamin Moukandjo scoring to reduce the deficit on 48 minutes.
The four-time African champions then drew level with 13 minutes remaining courtesy of Clinton N’Jie’s penalty, before sealing what had seemed an improbable win through defender Ngweni Ndasi’s late strike.
