Bhamdoun: Jordan ensured they will arrive at October's AFC U-19 Women's Championship Qualifiers full of confidence after they claimed the WAFF U-18 Women's Championship in Lebanon on Saturday.
A 2-1 win over the hosts sealed the deal, after a 4-1 win over Palestine on Thursday had put Muneer Abu-Hantash's side in pole position in the three-team round-robin tournament.
Despite their narrow defeat in what effectively the tournament's final, Lebanon impressed in Bhamdoun, finishing second thanks to their 3-0 win over Palestine on the opening day.
The competition provided Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine with crucial competitive match practice as they prepare for October's AFC U-19 Women's Championship Qualifiers.
The three West Asian nations will attempt to reach April's second stage, and ultimately the eight-team Finals to be held in Thailand in late 2019.
