ACL quarter-finalists to learn opponents on Thursday

The winners of the Round of 16 matches – four clubs from West Asia and another four from East Asia – qualified for the last eight following the conclusion of the Round of 16 on May 28.

The clubs are Gamba Osaka (Japan), Guangzhou Evergrande (China), Al Ahli (UAE), Naft Tehran (Iran), Kashiwa Reysol (Japan), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Korea Republic), Lekhwiya (Qatar) and Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia).

There will be no seeding or country protection, therefore, an open draw will be implemented.

The quarter-finals will be held according to the home-and-away format and all the first-drawn clubs in Quarter-finals 1, 2, 3 and 4 will host the first leg, while the second-drawn clubs will host the return fixture.

The semi-final and final competitions will also be held home-and-away, with the winners of Quarter-finals 1 and 3 hosting the first leg, while the winners of Quarter-finals 2 and 4 hosting the second leg.

The winners of the West Semi-final will host the first leg of the Finals, while the winners of the East Semi-final will be the hosts for the return fixture.
