ACL 2017 Quarter-final 2nd Leg Toyota Player of the Week: Carlos Eduardo

Kuala Lumpur: Carlos Eduardo has been named the Toyota Player of the Week after the attacking midfielder netted a stunning hat-trick in Al Hilal’s 3-0 victory over Al Ain on Monday as the Saudi side advanced to the semi-final by the same aggregate scoreline.

The 27-year-old Brazilian opened the scoring on 42 minutes when he headed in Nicolas Milesi’s free-kick from the left, before doubling Al Hilal’s advantage with a superb volley three minutes later. Carlos Eduardo then wrapped up the scoring with 16 minutes of play to complete his hat-trick.

The Brazilian, who gained a rating of 9.4, made 24 successful passes and scored his treble from just five shots on goal to move into joint-second in the scoring charts with seven goals.
