AFC Futsal Player of the Year 2015: Vahid Shamsaee

New Delhi: Vahid Shamsaee’s virtuoso display in Tasisat Daryaei’s AFC Futsal Club Championship triumph earned the inspirational Iranian the AFC Futsal Player of the Year, marking the third time the Asian futsal icon has won the individual accolade.

The evergreen 40-year-old (pictured, left) - the AFC Futsal Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008 - claimed both the Most Valuable Player and Top Scorer Awards at this year’s AFC Futsal Club Championship to be named the 2015 AFC Futsal Player of the Year ahead of Tasisat teammate and recipient of last year’s award Ali Asghar Hassan Zadeh and fellow Iranian Mohammad Naser Safari, who found the net seven times as Iraq outfit Naft Al Wasat reached the semi-finals.
