#WACFutsal2025 Qualifiers Draw finalised

Kuala Lumpur: The 19 teams aiming to earn places in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 learnt their opponents following the conclusion of the Qualifiers draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The teams were drawn into four groups – three groups of five and one group of four – to contest in a centralised league format from January 11 to 19, 2025.

Nine teams – the top two of each group and the best third-placed team among all groups – will progress to the Finals and join hosts China PR and 2018’s top two, Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan, to continue their quest for glory.

Group G: Tajikistan sign off on high note

Dushanbe: Tajikistan ended their campaign on a high note after defeating Pakistan 3-0 in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on Tuesday. 

Tajikistan secured their second win to finish with eight points with Pakistan concluding their campaign with six defeats.

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia and Jordan are set for a thrilling encounter to decide the top spot in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on Tuesday. 

Saudi Arabia and Jordan both come into the final matchday with their places in the next round of the qualifiers already secured with the hosts yet to be beaten, while the visitors are three points off the pace.

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia came away from Pakistan’s Jinnah Stadium with a 3-0 victory in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on Thursday.

Having extended their unbeaten run to five matches, Saudi Arabia book their place in the next round of the qualifiers ahead of their final group game against Jordan at home on Tuesday.

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia are set to fire on all cylinders when they meet Pakistan in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on Thursday.

The Green Falcons lead the standings with 10 points, three ahead of Jordan, and victory against Pakistan will confirm their spot in the next round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Group G: Jordan 7-0 Pakistan

Amman: Riding on a hat-trick from Mousa Al Ta’mari, a dominant Jordan beat Pakistan 7-0 in a Group G match of Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ at the Amman International Stadium in Amman on Tuesday.

Besides Tam’mari, Abu Zraiq scored a brace while Yaizan Al Naimat, Saeed Al Rosan and Ali Olwan scored one apiece.
 
The victory brightened Jordan’s chances of making it to Round 3 as they moved to second with seven with seven points, three behind Saudi Arabia and two ahead of Tajikistan.

Islamabad: Jordan earned their first win in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ after they defeated Pakistan 3-0 on Thursday.

The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ runners-up produced a clinical performance, going two up in the first 45 minutes before finishing the job in the second half to reignite their push for a place in the next stage, moving up to four points with the reverse fixture against Pakistan to come on Tuesday.

Islamabad: Jordan will be aiming to get their Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Group G campaign back on track when they play Pakistan in a double header starting on Thursday. 

A 1-1 draw with Tajikistan followed by a 2-0 defeat to Saudi Arabia left Hussein Ammouta’s side in third place after the opening two matches and failure to collect maximum points against Pakistan will have an adverse effect on the West Asian side's hopes of advancing to the next round.

Islamabad: Amadoni Kamalov scored twice as Tajikistan completed a comfortable 6-1 win over Pakistan as Petar Segrt’s side remained unbeaten in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification – Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on Tuesday.

Kamalov and Rustam Soirov gave Tajikistan a two goal lead inside the opening 13 minutes and, while Rahis Nabi pulled one back for the hosts at Jinnah Sports Stadium, further strikes from Parvizchon Umarbayev and Ehson Panjshanbe gave Tajikistan an unassailable lead.

Kamalov then hit the fifth with the game entering the final quarter and substitute Shahrom Samiev added the sixth in the last minute.

Amman: Saudi Arabia's target will be to further tighten their grip on Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ when they travel to Amman to face Jordan on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia found themselves two points ahead after Matchday One, having defeated Pakistan 4-0 while Tajikistan and Jordan settled for a share of the points following a dramatic 1-1 draw.

Al Ahsa: Saudi Arabia cruised to a 4-0 victory over Pakistan in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ at Al Fateh Club Stadium on Thursday.

The win sees Roberto Mancini's side end the day on top of Group G on three points after Tajikistan and Jordan drew 1-1 in the earlier game.
