China 2025 cast finalised

Kuala Lumpur: The stage is set for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 following the conclusion of the Qualifiers on Sunday.

Two debutant sides are among the nine qualifiers, who join two-time champions Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan and hosts China PR at the May 6-17 Finals.

Tashkent: Australia topped Group C of the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers with a 2-1 win against the Philippines on Sunday.

Uzbekistan finished as the runners-up after a 6-2 defeat of Turkmenistan while there was cheer for the Philippines as they sealed a debut appearance at the Finals as the best third-placed side across the four groups. Australia will also be making a first appearance.

Australia finished with a perfect 12 points, while Uzbekistan edged the Philippines on goal difference, with both having accumulated seven points.

Tashkent: The Philippines edged closer to a place in the Finals after defeating Turkmenistan 2-0 in their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Group C fixture on Wednesday.

Uzbekistan bounced back from their opening day draw against the Philippines to hit five  unanswered goals against Kuwait.

Tashkent: The Philippines fought back against a resurgent Uzbekistan to take home a share of the spoils after a 3-3 stalemate in their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group C tie at the Yunusobod Sports Complex on Monday.

Australia, meanwhile, secured their second consecutive win after cruising to a 5-0 win over Kuwait.

Suphanat strike keeps Thailand on course

Bangkok: Suphanat Muenta was the hero as Thailand beat Philippines 3-1 in extra-time to advance to the final of the ASEAN Championship 2024 on Monday.

Suphanat struck the decisive goal in extra time as the defending champions won 4-3 on aggregate and will face Vietnam in the final.

Manila: Enrique Linares struck deep into added time to earn Philippines a dramatic 2-1 win against defending champions Thailand in their 2024 ASEAN Championship semi-final first leg on Friday.

The centre-back’s strike in the fifth minute of added time means Philippines will go into Monday’s second leg at Rajamangala Stadium with a lead to protect as they chase a first final appearance in the competition.

Viet Tri: Vietnam burst into life in the second half to beat Myanmar 5-0 to finish top of Group B of the 2024 ASEAN Championship on Saturday.

Joining Vietnam in the semi-finals were the Philippines, who defeated 10-man Indonesia 1-0 to finish second.

Vietnam will face Singapore in the semi-finals while Philippines will meet defending champions Thailand.

Group B: Vietnam strike late to hold Philippines; Myanmar edge Laos to keep hopes alive

Manila: Doan Ngoc Tan scored in the seventh minute of time added on as Vietnam salvaged a 1-1 draw in their 2024 ASEAN Championship Group B tie against the Philippines at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Wednesday. 

The result took Vietnam - on seven points - within touching distance of the semi-finals as they only need to avoid defeat against Myanmar - who defeated Laos 3-2 - on Saturday to confirm their berth.

Philippines - on three points - still have a chance but they have to beat Indonesia and hope Myanmar lose to Vietnam.
