Kuala Lumpur: The draw for the knockout stage of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 will take place at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 15:00 (UTC+8) on Monday.

As the teams and fans eagerly await to know the path to continental glory, the-AFC.com takes a look at the eight teams who will converge in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the centralised knockout stage on April 25 to May 3.

Mahrez completes job for impressive Al Ahli

Jeddah: A brace from Riyad Mahrez secured Al Ahli Saudi FC a 2-0 win against Al Rayyan SC on Tuesday as they advanced to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 with a 5-1 aggregate win.

Al Ahli were dominant for large parts of the match but had to withstand some Al Rayyan pressure at the start of the second half before Mahrez scored his seventh and eighth goals of the competition to take his side through.

Doha: Felix Sanchez was a delighted head coach after his Al Sadd SC side showed their true colours to come from behind to defeat Al Wasl FC 3-1 on the night and 4-2 on aggregate to take their place in Monday’s AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 quarter-final draw.

Apart from the opening 10 minutes when they  were put under tremendous pressure by the UAE side, Akram Aff-led Al Sadd produced a dominant performance with Sanchez now eyeing an extended run in the competition.

Doha: Akram Afif produced a virtuoso performance to spark Al Sadd SC to a 3-1 win over Al Wasl FC as the Qatari side advanced to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 with a 4-2 aggregate victory on Monday.

Afif made one and scored a stunner to inspire the Qatari side to a comeback victory as they stayed in the hunt for a third Asian title.

Jeddah: With Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez in fine form, Al Ahli Saudi FC will expect to safely navigate past Al Rayyan SC in the second leg of their AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 Round of 16 tie on Tuesday.

Al Ahli produced a commanding performance in the first leg and had they been more clinical, their place in the quarter-finals would have been sealed last week.

Doha: Al Ittihad had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Al Qadisiyah as their advantage at the top of the Saudi Pro League was cut to four points.

The two-horse race for the title in Qatar remains hot with Al Duhail SC just a point ahead of Al Sadd SC.

An early Ali Saleh strike was canceled out by a powerful Abdulla Al Yazidi header in the second half leaving both teams with everything to play for next week's second leg in Doha.

Al Rayyan: Al Ahli Saudi FC took a huge step towards the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 after defeating Al Rayyan 3-1 in their Round of 16 first leg tie at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday.

The Saudi Arabian side led through goals from Galeno and Riyad Mahrez with Roger Guedes pulling one back for Qatar’s Al Rayyan but substitute Firas Al Brikan netted the third in stoppage time to give Al Ahli a healthy advantage to take home to Jeddah for next week’s return leg.

Dubai: Al Wasl FC and Al Sadd SC have it all to play for after they settled for a 1-1 stalemate in their AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 Round of 16 first leg tie on Monday.

Ali Saleh gave the United Arab Emirates side an early lead but a thumping Abdulla Al Yazidi header in the second half ensured a share of the spoils for Qatar's Al Sadd, leaving both with a chance to make the quarter-finals.
