Qualifiers - Group C: Australia stay perfect; Uzbekistan, Philippines also through

Tashkent: Australia topped Group C of the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers with a 2-1 win against the Philippines on Sunday.

Uzbekistan finished as the runners-up after a 6-2 defeat of Turkmenistan while there was cheer for the Philippines as they sealed a debut appearance at the Finals as the best third-placed side across the four groups. Australia will also be making a first appearance.

Australia finished with a perfect 12 points, while Uzbekistan edged the Philippines on goal difference, with both having accumulated seven points.

Tashkent: Australia showed grit as they came from behind to beat Uzbekistan 3-1 in their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group C tie on Friday, with victory confirming Australia’s ticket to the Finals.

In the earlier match, Turkmenistan defeated Kuwait 4-3 for the first win of their campaign.

Tashkent: The Philippines edged closer to a place in the Finals after defeating Turkmenistan 2-0 in their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Group C fixture on Wednesday.

Uzbekistan bounced back from their opening day draw against the Philippines to hit five  unanswered goals against Kuwait.

Tashkent: Australia and the Philippines opened their AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers campaigns in style at the Yunusobod Sport Complex on Saturday.

Australia registered an emphatic 6-1 win over Turkmenistan, while newcomers Philippines impressed in a 4-1 victory over Kuwait.

Kuala Lumpur:  It is all systems go for the third and final round of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Qualifiers following the official draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

The 24 teams were divided into six groups with only the group winners to advance to the Finals.

Riffa: Al Khaldiya confirmed their progress to the last 16 of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25 on Wednesday as a second half hat-trick from Oussama Bellatreche secured a 4-0 win over Turkmenistan's Altyn Asyr that guaranteed a top two finish in Group B.

The win moves the Bahraini club onto 12 points from six games and means Ali Ashoor’s team clinch second place in the standings ahead of Iraq's Air Force SC and behind Al Taawoun FC from Saudi Arabia.

Mahdi Abduljabbar put the hosts in front in the 10th minute but it was not until the second half that Al Khaldiya opened up a convincing lead, with Bellatreche scoring with a pair of headers in the 47th and 54th minutes to seal the win. He then hit his third with a minute left.

Ashgabat: Air Force Club kept their hopes of a place in the knockout rounds of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25 alive on Wednesday as the Iraqi side handed Turkmenistan’s already-eliminated Altyn Asyr a 2-0 defeat in Ashgabat.

The result moves Wesam Rizik’s side onto nine points from five games and maintains their challenge for a top two finish in Group B ahead of their final group match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Taawoun in Baghdad next week.

Ahmet Atayew’s seventh minute own goal gave the visitors the lead and Hiran Azad doubled the advantage in the 31st minute as Air Force secured their third win in the group phase having also previously defeated the Yokary Liga side in September’s opening round of matches.

Ashgabat: Al Taawoun FC of Saudi Arabia defeated Altyn Asyr of Turkmenistan 4-0 on Wednesday to stay on course for a place in the knockout stage of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25.

The win moved Al Taawoun up to nine points while Altyn Asyr remained rooted at the bottom after four defeats.

Group B: Arkadag, Al Arabi advance

Kuwait CIty: Kuwait’s Al Arabi SC defeated FC Arkadag 3-2 in Group B of the AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 on Friday with both teams advancing to the quarter-finals.

The two, together with FC Abdysh-Ata of Kyrgyz Republic, finished on six points but Turkmenistan's Arkadag topped the group on goal difference with Al Arabi second, with the Kuwaiti side going through as the best runners-up from the three West Zone groups.

Arkadag will face India's East Bengal in the quarter-finals while Al Arabi will take on Oman's Al Seeb Club.

Kuwait City: Turkmenistan’s FC Arkadag remained perfect in their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 Group B campaign after a 2-0 win over FC Abdysh-Ata of Kyrgyz Republic on Tuesday.

With two wins from two matches, Arkadag are in a great position to secure a place in the knockout stage while Abdysh-Ata remained on three points.
