Bareiro moves to Al Rayyan; Ulsan sign Lacava

Kuala Lumpur: Ulsan HD and Al Rayyan SC have further strengthened their squads ahead of resuming their respective AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 campaigns.

Korea Republic champions Ulsan have signed Venezuelan Matias Lacava while Paraguayan Adam Bareiro has joined Al Rayyan on loan till the end of 2025.

Kuala Lumpur: The groups for the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 were decided following the official draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 16 teams, divided into four groups, will not only be bidding for the coveted trophy but also for the eight spots at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 – the first edition of the newly expanded 48-team strong annual tournament.

Newcastle: Kota Mizunuma has left AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 runners-up Yokohama F Marinos to join Newcastle Jets, the A-League outfit announced on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old, who played nine times during the J1 League side’s run to the final in May, has signed with the Australian club until the end of the current season with an option to extend his deal for a further year.

Los Angeles: Former Japan captain Maya Yoshida has signed a two-year contract extension with LA Galaxy, the American club confirmed on Saturday.

Yoshida, who played all but 24 minutes of the Galaxy's 2024 regular-season matches, joined the Major League Soccer side late in the 2023 campaign and captained them to the MLS Cup in December.

Kuala Lumpur: Japanese winger Fuki Yamada was unveiled by Nacional on Tuesday after he joined the Portuguese club on a six-month loan deal from Kyoto Sanga.

This is the second successive loan stint for Yamada as he featured for Tokyo Verdy in the 2024 J1 League season where he made 23 appearances and scored five goals as Verdy finished sixth in the standings.
