Mishref: Australia qualified for the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 after a goalless draw with Indonesia in their final Qualifiers Group G match on Sunday.

Both teams finished on seven points, with Australia topping the group with a superior goal difference while Indonesia advanced as one of the five best runners-up.

In the later game, Kuwait picked up a 9-0 win against Northern Mariana Islands to close out their campaign on a resounding note.

With the two to meet in Sunday’s decider, Indonesia sharpened their tools with a 10-0 success against Northern Mariana Islands while Australia were given a stiff test by Kuwait before winning 3-1.

Mishref: Korea Republic confirmed their berth at the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 after a 3-1 win over the United Arab Emirates in Group C of the Qualifiers on Friday.

The win took the 12-time champions to nine points and they are assured of finishing top of the group on the head-to-head ratio irrespective of their result against Lebanon on Sunday.

Kuwait, meanwhile, cruised to a comprehensive 6-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands.

#AFCU17 Qualifying groups decided

Kuala Lumpur: The draw for the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2025 Qualifiers was finalised at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 43 teams were divided into 10 groups - seven of four each and three of five - with the Qualifiers to be played between October 19 and 27, 2024.

The 10 group winners and five best second-placed teams will advance to the Finals, with Saudi Arabia scheduled to host the tournament.

Qingdao: The budding stars of East Asia have gathered in the Shandong province to compete in the inaugural EAFF U15 Men’s Championship 2023.

Nine teams will challenge each other between September 1-8 for the opportunity to be the first to put their hands on the trophy.
