Three FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025 spots are also up for grabs with Islamic Republic of Iran looking to defend the title they won at the same venue two years ago.

Al Arabi hold firm to deny Al Seeb

Seeb: Al Arabi SC showed determination to hold Al Seeb Club to a 2-2 stalemate after extra time on Wednesday to clinch their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 semi-final spot with a 3-2 aggregate win.

The Kuwaiti club had to show plenty of defensive resilience to fend off the Omani side’s pressure before Sofiane Bouchar struck in extra time to set up a semi-final meeting with Turkmenistan’s FC Arkadag.

Sulaibikhat: Substitute Bandar Al Salamah struck a stoppage time winner as Al Arabi SC sealed a dramatic 1-0 win over Al Seeb Club in their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 quarter-final first leg tie on Wednesday.

Both sides missed opportunities in a keenly-contested affair at Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Stadium before Al Salamah - on for just 11 minutes and subsequently sent off - nodded home the winner which means Al Arabi will have a lead to protect when the sides meet in next week’s return leg at Al Seeb Stadium.
