Hong Kong: Hong Kong sealed their first win in Group H of the Asian Qualifiers on Tuesday as goals from James Ha and Roberto earned Mixu Paatelainen’s side a 2-0 win over 10-man Cambodia.
Ha gave Hong Kong the lead in the 21st minute before Roberto added the second 12 minutes from time after the Cambodians had seen Soeuy Visal sent off for a second bookable offence.
The win moves Hong Kong on to five points, while Cambodia remain rooted to the bottom of the standings with the solitary point they picked up when they drew with Hong Kong the last time the teams met in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 qualifying.
