Beirut: Lebanon and DPR Korea could not be separated as they shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at the Sports City Stadium in Beirut to stay equal at eight points each in Group H of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Asian Qualifiers.
The result meant both teams failed to capitalise on a chance to end 2019 as the group leaders, with Turkmenistan to head into 2020 top of the standings with nine points.
Korea Republic, who were not in Asian Qualifiers action on Tuesday, are second on eight points, ahead of Lebanon and DPR Korea on goal difference.

Kuala Lumpur: Matchday Six of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 came to a close with Syria and Turkmenistan the big winners on an exciting day of action.
Syria made it five wins from five to seize control of Group A as the West Asians will take a whopping eight-point lead into 2020 after defeating Philippines 1-0.
Turkmenistan will also head into the new year as Group H leaders, with their 1-0 win over Sri Lanka and the Lebanon-DPR Korea tie ending in a goalless stalemate giving the Central Asian side a one-point lead.
The Asian Qualifiers will resume on March 26.

The historic clash between DPR Korea and Korea Republic, meanwhile, also ended 0-0 in Pyongyang.

Kuala Lumpur: Matchday 1 of the second round of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 saw 16 matches being played across the Continent on Thursday.
It was a day of high quality action as 32 of the 40 teams involved in this phase of the Asian Qualifiers got their campaigns underway.
