Tashkent: Kawasaki Frontale recorded a comfortable 2-0 win against Filipino side United City FC in Group I of the 2021 AFC Champions League at Lokomotiv Stadium on Monday. 

The two sides had met on Matchday Three, with Kawasaki Frontale cruising to a resounding 8-0 win, yet United City upped their game significantly this time despite the loss.

Ulsan’s Hong applauds Yoon for AFC Champions League masterclass against Kaya FC-Iloilo

Bangkok: Ulsan Hyundai FC head coach Hong Myung-bo praised match winner Yoon Bit-garam for his tireless efforts in ensuring their AFC Champions League unbeaten run remained intact after beating Kaya FC-Iloilo 2-1 on Monday. 

Yoon had opened the scoring in bizarre fashion in the 27th minute when the ball hit his face before settling in the net but defending champions Ulsan were reduced to 10 men in the Group F just four minutes later after Kim Min-jun was sent off.

Kaya emerged stronger in the second half to score in the 47th minute, but Player of the Match Yoon restored their lead almost immediately to extend Ulsan’s winning streak to 13 matches.
