Qualifiers - Group A: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan secure places in Finals

Urmiya: Tajikistan and Uzbekistan became the latest teams to secure places at the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Finals after both registered resounding wins at Ghadir Hall on Thursday.

Tajikistan came from behind to beat Afghanistan 5-2, before Uzbekistan defeated Nepal 4-1 in the later match to confirm the advance of both Central Asian sides with a full day of Group A matches still remaining.

Qualifiers - Group A: China PR seal Finals spot

Ordos: China PR booked their place in the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Finals as the East Zone's Group A winners after beating Chinese Taipei 8-2 on Thursday. 

China registered a perfect record of three wins as they sealed their 13th appearance in the Finals, while the defeat for Chinese Taipei meant more heartbreak as Mongolia edged them for the runners-up spot on goal difference.

Mongolia will face Korea Republic in the play-off match on Saturday to determine the East Zone's final ticket to Turkmenistan next February.

Qualifiers - Group B: Japan edge Korea Republic for Finals spot

Ordos: Japan overcame a resilient Korea Republic side with a 4-2 victory to seal their place in the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Finals after finishing top of Group B of the East Zone Qualifiers.

Japan will be making their 16th appearance in the Finals, while Korea Republic will need to play the Group A runners-up, to be decided later on Thursday, in a play-off match, with the winners securing their ticket to Turkmenistan 2020 next February.

Qualifiers - Group A: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan charge out of the blocks

Urmiya: Tajikistan and Uzbekistan began their respective AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 qualifying campaigns in dominant fashion, charging out of the blocks with comprehensive wins as Group A began at Ghadir Hall on Wednesday.

Tajikistan netted three goals in each half in their 6-0 win over Nepal, while perennial contenders Uzbekistan defeated Afghanistan 6-2 in the later match.

The top two teams from Groups A and B will qualify for Turkmenistan 2020 from the Central and South Zone Qualifiers. However, should Turkmenistan - who are in Group B - occupy one of the top two positions, the best third-placed team from either group will qualify.

Qualifiers - Group B: IR Iran up and running

Urmiya: 12-time champions Islamic Republic of Iran got their AFC Futsal Championship title defence off to a winning start, earning a 4-0 win over Turkmenistan in the opening Central and South Zone Group B Qualifier at Ghadir Hall on Wednesday.

Three Iranian players got on the scoresheet in addition to an own goal from Turkmenistan’s Gurbangeldi Sahedov as the home crowd was treated to a commanding display from the team ranked five in the world.

The result puts Iran of the verge of qualifying for next year’s Finals with two games remaining in the group.

Group A: Thailand seal top spot in style

Ho Chi Minh: A second half blitz saw Thailand sail to a 9-0 win over Myanmar in Group A of the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019, while Timor-Leste salvaged a 4-4 draw with Cambodia on Wednesday. 

The win saw defending champions Thailand top the Group A standings heading into the semi-finals.

The regional tournament also serves as the ASEAN Zone Qualifiers for the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020, with the top three teams advancing to the Finals next February.

Group B: Indonesia, Vietnam saunter into semi-finals

Ho Chi Minh: Indonesia defeated Australia to seal top spot in Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019 while Vietnam finished second on goal difference after beating Malaysia at the Phu Tho Stadium on Wednesday.

Both finished on seven points but Indonesia's superior goal difference means they will play Myanmar in Friday's semi-finals while hosts Vietnam will have to battle defending champions Thailand.

The top three teams from the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019 will advance to the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 next February.
