Steel Roses to assemble as Road to Tokyo resumes

Beijing: The Chinese women’s national team will convene for a month-long training camp, focused firmly on sealing the final Asian ticket to the Tokyo Olympics football tournament.

A 26-strong squad will gather at the Xianghe National Football Training Base from November 3 to December 3 – more than nine months after their last international match – ahead of their final qualifying play-off against Korea Republic, which will be played early next year.

Shoja' Khalilzadeh signs two-year contract with Al Rayyan

Doha: Qatar's Al Rayyan have confirmed the signing of Islamic Republic of Iran centre-back Shoja' Khalilzadeh on a two-year contract.

Khalilzadeh joins Al Rayyan from Iran champions Persepolis, who he joined in 2017 and assisted in the Tehran-based club winning three successive Iran Pro League titles as well as back-to-back Iran Super Cups.
