Now equipped with the requisite perspective, processes and tools that define exemplary leaders, these graduates will set their sights on using their new capabilities to complement their respective organisations’ drive to move world football forward.

The ninth iteration will feature a candidate representing The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU), who will be mentored by the AFC’s experts from the Technical Division from 4 to 22 November 2024.

The Conference’s line-up of experts and key industry spokespersons culminated with a presentation by Haroon Ahmed Malik, the Normalisation Committee Chairperson of the Pakistan Football Federation on the decades-long challenges football faces in the South Asian nation.

The three-day Conference, themed “Building and Leading Great Organisations”, hosted by the Korea Football Association, brings together MA and RA Presidents and their General Secretaries to further drive Asian football, enabling the AFC to continue making inroads into achieving its Vision and Mission of becoming a leading Confederation.

The Conference, which concludes on November 1, brings together the Confederation’s MA and RA Presidents and their General Secretaries on a single platform dedicated to cultivating the highest professional and governance standards.

Building on the success of the previous edition last year, which brought together AFC MAs and RAs’ Presidents and General Secretaries for the first time, the 2024 edition marks yet another significant milestone in strengthening the collaborative efforts between the Confederation and its members.

A three-month curriculum designed for leaders of the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and other football stakeholders, the ACSP aims to equip everyone with the necessary strategic planning skills, processes and tools to meet the growing standards, expectations and needs of their respective organisations and the ever-evolving football ecosystem.

The two candidates, representing the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), will be assigned to the Confederation’s Referees Department where they will undergo a comprehensive learning experience from October 2 to 19, 2024.

The seventh edition of the capacity building initiative commenced on Thursday with two candidates from the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) being assigned to the Confederation’s Member Association (MA) Division. Here, the candidates will undergo intensive training from industry experts, gaining valuable insights into the best practices of football governance and administration.

For its latest iteration, the programme will see an independent candidate from the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) being mentored by experts from the Confederation’s Member Association (MA) Division from July 1 to 26.

As part of the Confederation’s landmark AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE)’s expanding repertoire of online programmes, the six-month-long initiative will see 36 decision-makers from AFC Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and other football stakeholders follow in the footsteps of the graduates of the first edition, to further elevate the standards of football leadership on the Continent

Taking place from June 4 to 14, the programme will see one independent candidate along with a participant representing the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) being assigned to the Confederation’s MA Division and Technical Division, where they will receive hands-on training and guidance from some of the best minds in the industry.

The AFC is firmly committed to protecting the rights of children and ensuring that they can play football within a safe, positive and encouraging atmosphere. Developed exclusively by the AFC, the ACCS aims to raise awareness on child safeguarding and equip participants with the knowledge and skills to keep children safe from harm when engaged in all football activities.

The programme, which was launched in November 2021, marked the graduation of its inaugural batch in December 2022 where representatives of the Confederation’s Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) as well as the Continent’s larger football ecosystem were given the opportunity to hone their skills as future leaders of Asian football.

Representatives of the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and independent stakeholders graduated from the 13-month programme, which has been designed for middle and senior management leaders.

The capacity building programme, launched in July 2022, was curated with the ambition of assisting participants from the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and/or graduates from the Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) to strengthen the administrative standards in their respective organisations.

A total of 44 participants from the AFC Member Associations (MAs), Regional Associations (RAs) and independent stakeholders advanced from the five-month programme. With their newly acquired management skills and knowledge, these aspiring leaders are now looking forward to setting new standards of excellence to uplift the Asian game.

Now in its fourth edition, the FMD is designed to nurture participants’ capabilities to enable them to elevate the standards of Asian football.

A total of 46 participants from the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) as well as Independent Stakeholders will sit for the FMC programme, which targets aspiring leaders aiming to uplift Asian football and set new standards of excellence.

The virtual education initiative was unveiled 12 months ago by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) with two main programmes – the AFC Football Management Certificate (FMC) introduced in October 2021 and the AFC Football Management Diploma (FMD) a month later.

Since its launch in November 2021, the FMD continues to attract a diverse range of participants from across the Continent aspiring to be future leaders in Asian football.

Led by Chairperson Hachem Haidar, the Committee hailed the formation of the new Governance Coordination Unit, which has been established under the umbrella of the Administration’s Member Association Division, to enable greater adherence to and the implementation of effective governance practices within the AFC’s MAs and RAs.
