AFC-ISF Dream Asia Legacy Project leaves lasting impact in Cambodia

Phnom Penh: The AFC-ISF Dream Asia Legacy Project, a five-year programme aimed at empowering Cambodia’s youth through football, successfully concluded in December 2024, leaving behind a legacy of growth, opportunity, and social development.

A collaborative effort between the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Foundation, the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) and the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF), the project, since its inception in 2020, has played a key role in equipping young people in the Southeast Asian nation with the skills to address social challenges through the beautiful game.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Foundation’s ambitions to uphold the highest governance standards in the implementation of its breakthrough social responsibility efforts were further underlined at the 3rd Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting held in Seoul, Korea Republic, on Tuesday.

Chairperson HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al Faisal reiterated the pivotal role of the Board in ensuring the optimum standards of delivery and professionalism across the Continent, whilst emphasising the commitment of the AFC and its members to maintain the hallmarks of transparency and accountability.

Osh City: The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU)’s drive to improve the capabilities of physical education (PE) teachers via their second Football at School programme proved to be as successful as its predecessor and looks set to similarly benefit future generations of children.

The six-month capacity-building programme, which concluded in July 2024, was again supported by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Foundation. It was tailored for teachers in schools and orphanages, aligning itself with the Foundation’s three primary pillars of Child Safeguarding, Education and Social Inclusion.

ISF-AFC Dream Asia Legacy Project continues to foster positive change

Phnom Penh: The Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) - Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dream Asia Legacy Project, which was launched in 2020 with the aim of empowering children from underprivileged backgrounds through the power of football, has reached its fifth and final year. 

Supported by the AFC Dream Asia Foundation over the last four years, the project has been a catalyst for positive change and community development, contributing to the enhancement of thousands of lives across 14 Cambodian provinces through its key programmes, namely, the Young Coach Development Pathway, the Continuous Coach Development Pathway, and the Social Impact Training for Coaches and Young Leaders.
