AFC Coach Education Panel concludes 13th meeting

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coach Education Panel convened for a virtual meeting on Tuesday and was briefed on the steady growth of the AFC Coaching Convention.

Attended by 15 Member Association (MA) representatives, the meeting focused on coach education and the ground-breaking AFC Coaching Convention.

Kuala Lumpur: Asia’s top coaches and technical directors had the opportunity to learn from former A.C. Milan and Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello and former Inter Milan and England coach Roy Hodgson at the sixth Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Elite Club Coaches Forum which concluded on Wednesday.

Capello and Hodgson were among the star-studded cast to join the Forum where they shared their experience on leadership and management of elite coaches.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s determination to raise the standards of football in its Member Associations (MA) was among the key topics discussed at the AFC Coaching Convention Special Online Session on Tuesday. 

AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh started the meeting by giving an in-depth introduction of the recently updated AFC Coaching Convention and its game-changing importance.

Vietnam FF awarded A Level AFC Coaching Convention membership

Kuala Lumpur: The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has become the latest Member Association (MA) to receive the A Level Membership of the highly-acclaimed AFC Coaching Convention.

The VFF was recognised for establishing a well-structured football development strategy, which takes into consideration the current situation of football in Vietnam while setting clear objectives and highlighting the detailed implementation plans especially for coach education.

AFC Online Session continues to educate coach education practitioners

Kuala Lumpur: The latest Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) Coach Education Session, which focused on the implementation of the AFC C Diploma coaching course and the role of coach education tutors, successfully concluded on Thursday.

A total of 77 coach education practitioners from across the Continent gained valuable insights from the presentation by the United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAE FA)’s Technical Director Michel Sablon.

Bhutan FF and Afghanistan FF endorsed as members of the AFC Coaching Convention

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coaching Convention continues to gain momentum with the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) and the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) accepted as full members.  

The BFF was awarded the A Level Membership while the AFF received the B Level Membership for their commitment and continuous efforts in coach education in their respective Member Associations (MAs).

Coach Education managers hail productive AFC Technical online session

Kuala Lumpur: The first Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coach Education Focus Group Session delivered an engaging programme which focused on the delivery of the Pro Diploma coaching course on Tuesday.

Designed for Benchmarking Member Associations (MAs), the meeting welcomed 80 participants from across the Continent. It started with open questions to participants to reflect on their current challenges and what is required when implementing a coaching course.
