Oman FA recognised with AFC Elite Youth Charter two-star membership

Muscat: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed the Oman Football Association (OFA) as the eighth two-star member under the AFC Elite Youth Charter. The recognition makes the OFA the 24th Member Association (MA) to be endorsed under the highly acclaimed charter.

With football being the most popular sport in the West Asian nation, the AFC youth panel assessors were impressed to witness a vibrant football culture, boasting a range of youth leagues and development programmes, supported by strong collaboration between the OFA and key stakeholders such as the Oman School Sports Association (OSSA), a platform dedicated towards providing children with an opportunity to compete against the best from across the country.

Chinese Football Association earns two-star AFC Elite Youth Scheme membership

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) welcomed the Chinese Football Association (CFA) as the latest Member Association (MA) to be endorsed under the acclaimed AFC Elite Youth Scheme.

Following a visit to the East Asian nation, the AFC Youth Panel assessors found the CFA to have established a sustainable development programme which is further strengthened by active support from the regional governments, educational institutions, and other key stakeholders.

AFC Elite Youth Online Session shines the spotlight on talent management

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the AFC Elite Youth Online Session 2024 on Thursday, providing fresh insights on enhancing the transition of youth players from academy to professional football.

The session, under the theme - “Talent-to-Top Process” - was chaired by AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh and attended by approximately 100 participants from 41 Member Associations.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has recognised the consistent efforts of Vietnam’s PVF Academy with the renewal of its three-star membership under the AFC Elite Youth Scheme.

Based in Hanoi since 2017, the PVF Academy first received its three-star membership in September 2020 and under the visionary leadership of Technical Director Eric Abrams, has since established itself as one of the most reputed academies in Southeast Asia.

AFC Youth Panel focuses on expansion of AFC Elite Youth Scheme

Kuala Lumpur: Experts from across Asia gathered virtually to discuss ways to expand the reach of the AFC Elite Youth Scheme when the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted its 1st AFC Youth Panel Meeting for the term 2024-2025 on Thursday. 

Chaired by AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh, the meeting was attended by 15 panel members from 13 Member Associations (MAs).
