Group E: Madura United take top spot

Ulaanbaatar: Indonesia’s Madura United edged Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng of Cambodia 2-1 in their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 F Group E tie at the MFF Stadium on Saturday.

Madura topped the group with four points with Svay Reing one adrift as both advanced to the quarter-finals.

Group A: East Bengal edge Nejmeh to finish top

Thimphu: Dimitrios Diamantakos fired India’s East Bengal into the knockout stage of the AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 after scoring a brace in their 3-2 win against Nejmeh SC of Lebanon in their final Group A match on Friday.

East Bengal finished as the Group A winners on seven points to seal progression while Nejmeh were eliminated.

East Bengal will square off against Turkmenistan's FC Arkadag in the West Zone quarter-finals with Oman's Al Seeb Club to face Al Arabi SC of Kuwait.

Group A: Paro FC sign off in style

Thimphu: Bhutan’s Paro FC fought back to defeat Bashundhara Kings of Bangladesh 2-1 in their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 Group A tie on Friday to conclude their campaign on a high.

Paro finished third on four points while Bashundhara completed their campaign with three defeats.

Group B: Arkadag, Al Arabi advance

Kuwait CIty: Kuwait’s Al Arabi SC defeated FC Arkadag 3-2 in Group B of the AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 on Friday with both teams advancing to the quarter-finals.

The two, together with FC Abdysh-Ata of Kyrgyz Republic, finished on six points but Turkmenistan's Arkadag topped the group on goal difference with Al Arabi second, with the Kuwaiti side going through as the best runners-up from the three West Zone groups.

Arkadag will face India's East Bengal in the quarter-finals while Al Arabi will take on Oman's Al Seeb Club.

Group B: Victory not enough to take Abdysh-Ata through

Kuwait CIty: FC Abdysh-Ata ended their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 campaign with a 3-0 win over Maldives’ Maziya Sports & RC on Friday but it wasn’t enough for the Kyrgyz Republic side to advance to the quarter-finals from Group B.

Abdysh-Ata finished level on six points with FC Arkadag and Al Arabi SC but lost out on goal difference with the Turkmenistan side emerging top and the Kuwaiti team progressing as the best runners-up from across the three West Zone groups.

Arkadag will face India's East Bengal in the quarter-finals while Al Arabi will take on Oman's Al Seeb Club.

Group C: Al Seeb turn on the power to stay perfect

Muscat: Oman's Al Seeb completed their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 Group C campaign on a perfect note after a 3-0 win against Palestine's Hilal Alquds at the Al Seeb Stadium on Friday.

Al Seeb finished with three wins while Hilal Alquds waved farewell with two points in the bag.

Al Seeb will play Kuwait's Al Arabi SC in the West Zone quarter-finals while Turkmenistan's FC Arkadag and India's East Bengal will square off.

Preview - Final: DPR Korea v Spain

Santo Domingo: DPR Korea and Spain are primed to face off in the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Dominican Republic 2024 with the winners set to create history.

Both are the only teams to have won the title twice - DPR Korea lifting the trophy in 2006 and 2016 while Spain are back-to-back defending champions.

DPR Korea, however, will have the added motivation of wanting to follow in the footsteps of their nation's U-20 squad who won the world title in September.
