Kuala Lumpur: Having featured countries from East, West and Central Asia in our AFC Champions League legends series, this week we turn our attention to ASEAN and highlight five players from Thailand who have lit up the Continental competition.
The first-ever AFC Champions League final featured Thai side BEC Tero Sasana, while both Buriram United and Muangthong United have made the knockout rounds over the years. Players from all three sides make our list, as does a history-making striker who remains the only player from Southeast Asia to top the scoring charts.
So, enjoy reminiscing about the Thai stars who have graced the AFC Champions League since it launched almost two decades ago, and don't forget to vote for your favourite at the bottom of the article!

Kuala Lumpur: Veteran striker Lee Dong-gook recently begun his 23rd season in the Korea Republic top flight and it was almost inevitable that he would score in the competition's opener. The 41-year-old evergreen looks back on an eventful career with both club and country as he continues to excel at the highest level in Asia and defy Father Time.
Normal rules don’t seem to apply to Lee. At an age when most footballers are already enjoying the fruits of their well-earned retirement, the forward is still showing few signs of slowing down.
Lee burst onto the scene as a 19-year-old in 1998 for Pohang Steelers, a young talent who seemed to have the world at his feet having helped the side win the 1997-1998 Asian Club Championship and been called up to the senior national team the very same year.
Fast forward to the present day and the veteran striker is still turning out, and scoring, for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Chennai: The nationwide lockdown has transformed many otherwise buzzing streets across India into tranquil expanses.
It is on a few of such streets filled with ghastly echoes that the quaint figure of a female police officer goes about her duty with her colleagues, making sure that movement is restricted amongst the people in order to flatten the proverbial curve.
Wearing the traditional khaki uniform of the Tamil Nadu Police - a surgical mask stretched over her face, and a pair of gloves pulled over her hands for protection, India's midfield general Indumathi Kathiresan is barely recognisable to those stopped by her for checking on the streets of Anna Nagar, Chennai.

Shanghai: The COVID-19 Coronavirus has indefinitely postponed the Chinese Super League (CSL) season but it has given the national team time to bond under head coach Li Tie, the side's goalkeeper Yan Junling said on Monday.
China PR are approaching the end of a two-week training camp in Shanghai and on Tuesday will face CSL side Shanghai Shenhua behind closed doors, having defeated former champions Shanghai SIPG 4-1 in another warm-up match.
The CSL is on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic but the national side have been together on and off for several weeks this year, both at home and abroad.
