Guangzhou: Barcelona have loaned midfielder Paulinho, a starter in the Brazil side knocked out by Belgium in the 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals in Russia, to former club Guangzhou Evergrande, the Chinese Super League champions have announced.
"Guangzhou Evergrande confirm Paulinho has returned to the club after one season at Barcelona," the club tweeted.
Paulinho, who is 29, first joined Guangzhou from Tottenham Hotspur in 2015, playing 84 matches and scoring 22 goals before leaving for Barcelona in 2017.

Tosu: Japan’s Sagan Tosu confirmed the signing of 2010 FIFA World Cup and two-time UEFA European Championship winner Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old Spaniard made his professional debut in 2000 with the Madrid-based club, and is prominently known for his career in the English Premier League with Liverpool and Chelsea, where he claimed the UEFA Champions League 2011/2012 and UEFA Europa League 2012/13 titles.
Torres then moved to Italy, joining AC Milan in 2014 for a short stint before returning to Atletico to earn his second UEFA Europa League title in 2017.

Suwon: Korea Republic’s Suwon Samsung Bluewings have bolstered their squad by signing Han Eui-kwon, Park Jong-woo and Elvis Saric ahead of the 2018 AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
Forward Han (pictured above) , 24, began his youth career with Daejeon Citizen in 2013 and had a short stint with Gyeongnam FC a year later, before returning to the Daejeon-based club in July 2015.
Park will bring in a wealth of international experience, having played with Chinese Super League’s Guangzhou R&F, as well as in the United Arab Emirates with Al Jazira and Emirates Club.

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad signed Matthew Jurman on a two-year contract from Suwon Samsung Bluewings on Monday.
The Australian international will join the two-time AFC Champions League winners as they prepare for the Saudi Pro League 2018-19 season which begins in late August, and aim to return to the club Continental stage having missed the 2016 and 2017 editions.
Jurman began his senior professional career in Australia, playing for Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar, before moving to Korea Republic for a stint with the Suwon-based club, where he made three appearances in their 2018 AFC Champions League campaign.
The move means the 28-year-old will be passing up on the 2018 AFC Champions League quarter-finals first leg tie with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Sydney: Australia defender Milos Degenek has signed a three-year deal at Red Star Belgrade.
The 24-year-old joins the Serbian powerhouse from Japanese outfit Yokohama F. Marinos, where he made 43 appearances after signing on in 2017.
He will be available to Belgrade manager Vladan Milojevic immediately, and could be in line to debut in the first leg of the club's Champions League qualifying round tie against Latvian club FK Spartaks Jurmala, which kicks off on July 11.
Degenek is an avid fan of the 1991 European Cup winners having grown up in Belgrade as a child.
“It is a huge honour for me to be joining the biggest club in the Balkans, the club my family and I support. It’s a dream come true. Everyone has been really nice to me here so I already feel at home," Degenek told the club's official website.

Doha: Al Sadd’s new signing Gabi Fernandez has spoken of his delight at joining the Wolves, after sealing his move from Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish star signed a two-year-contract with the club on Monday evening and will now join his countryman Xavi in the Al Sadd midfield.
Speaking after signing the contract, Gabi said: “I took the decision to play in Qatar after deep thought, especially as I spent many years playing in Spain. I now look forward to this new experience at a new club, which I’m sure will be a great one.
“I have seen the sights of Doha and I also observed the preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, including the great facilities at the Khalifa International Stadium. I am convinced that Qatar will host a successful World Cup in 2022.”
