Kuala Lumpur: Al Jaish sealed their fifth consecutive Syrian Premier League title on Friday.
With closest challengers Al Wahda and Teshrin playing to a 1-1 draw, Al Jaish - on 53 points - claimed their 17th Syrian Premier League title with a match to spare.
Al Jaish will be looking to carry their domestic form into the 2019 AFC Cup, where they are second in Group A heading into Matchday Six.
They play Nejmeh SC of Lebanon and need a win to seal top spot provided current leaders Al Wehdat of Jordan are held or beaten by third-placed Hilal Alquds of Palestine.

Amman: Jordan's Al Wehdat came back from a goal down to salvage a 1-1 draw against Al Jaish of Syria, courtesy of Hassan Abdel Fattah's late second half strike on Matchday Four of the 2019 AFC Cup Group A on Tuesday.
Al Jaish were unbeaten this campaign going into the match while Al Wehdat had not conceded on home soil in the 2019 AFC Cup.
Saeed Al Murjan set up Bahaa Faisal with a through pass and the Jordanian international striker advanced on goal, but fired high from a narrow angle in what was Al Wehdat’s first real chance 16 minutes into the match.
