Bandar Seri Begawan: AFC Cup quarter-finalists Kelantan will take on Brunei in a friendly match, the official website of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) reports.
Kelantan, who are currently involved in Malaysia Cup action, will use the September 8 meeting to gear up for their AFC Cup quarter-final clash with Arbil while Brunei are preparing for the qualifying round of the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup scheduled to take place in Myanmar from October 5 to 13.
"We will play Kelantan in Kota Bharu on 8 September. The match will help us prepare the national team for the AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers in October," Brunei Team Manager Feisal Eusoff said.
"The players have been training currently at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium and Berakas Sports Complex and the preparation have been running well and the squad for the tournament will be unveiled in a few days."
Brunei will be battling Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos for a place in the AFF Suzuki Cup while Kelantan take on Iraq outfit Arbil in the quarter-finals of the 2012 AFC Cup with last year's semi-finalists hosting the first-leg on September 18 before the action shifts to Malaysia for the return fixture a week later.
