Amman: Mohammed Kwid, who led Al Wehdat to the semi-finals of last year's AFC Cup, has stepped down as head coach of the Jordanian giants.
The veteran continental campaigner, who lead Syria's Al Karamah to the semi-finals of the 2006 AFC Champions League and a runners-up position in the AFC Cup three years later, tender his resignation from Al Wehdat following Friday's 1-1 draw with That Ras.
The Round 12 stalemate left Al Wehdat third in the Jordan league standings with 25 points, seven behind leaders and fellow 2012 AFC Cup paricipants Al Faisaly.
Al Wehdat have announced that Hisham Abdulmunem will take temporary charge of the three-time AFC Cup semi-finalists until they appoint a new head coach.
