Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has taken note of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM)’s confirmation of Club Valencia’s withdrawal from participating in the AFC Cup 2022™.

Therefore, in accordance with the AFC Cup 2022™ Competition Regulations, the Preliminary Stage Round 2 (South) tie against Abahani Limited Dhaka from Bangladesh, which was scheduled to take place on April 12, 2022, has been cancelled.

Latest update on the AFC Champions League 2022™

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has taken note of the Chinese Football Association (CFA)’s confirmation of the withdrawal of Shanghai Port FC from the AFC Champions League 2022™.

The AFC acknowledged the travel restrictions faced by Shanghai Port FC as a result of the recent lockdown measures enforced in Shanghai, China PR and the matter will now be referred to the relevant AFC Committees.
