Tashkent: Head coach Ante Juric was brimming with confidence after Sydney Football Club’s 2-1 win over Uzbekistan’s FC Nasaf in Group B of the AFC Women's Club Championship™ 2023 on Thursday. 

Sydney FC weathered a battling FC Nasaf at the Pakhtakor Stadium, taking a 1-0 lead going into the break before adding another with FC Nasaf scoring a late consolation.

The win sets Sydney FC up for an exciting showdown with Hyundai Steel Red Angels Women’s FC of Korea Republic for top spot, while FC Nasaf will be aiming to secure their first win against Islamic Republic of Iran’s Bam Khatoon on Sunday.

Chonburi: Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies sealed their place in the final of the AFC Women's Club Championship™ 2023 after an emphatic 6-1 win over Bangkok FC of Thailand on Thursday.

Although there is still one more round of matches to be played in Group A, the win meant that Urawa Red Ladies are assured of top spot based on their head-to-head record with Bangkok.

Ashgabat: Altyn Asyr claimed a second successive win over fellow Turkmenistan outfit FC Merw on Thursday as Oraz Orazov scored the only goal to earn his side a 1-0 win that keeps them within three points of Group E leaders Abdysh-Ata Kant in the AFC Cup™ 2023/24.

Orazov struck in the 34th minute to secure the win for Altyn Asyr, who move on to seven points from four games while FC Merw remain in third place in the group on two points. Abdysh-Ata Kant from Kyrgyz Republic lead with 10 points.
