AFC and MNC announce renewal of media rights partnership

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced today the renewal of its media rights partnership with PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNC) for the 2025-2028 cycle in the territories of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.

Kuala Lumpur: Following a successful four-year global sponsorship, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and NEOM have agreed to extend their partnership from 2024 to 2029.

NEOM will continue to serve as an Official Global Partner of the AFC’s national team and club competitions, while the agreement will also see NEOM become the Presenting Partner of both the newly unveiled AFC Champions League Elite™ Final Stage for the 2024/25 season – which features the Continent’s top eight sides competing in a centralised Knockout Stage format in Saudi Arabia from the Quarter-finals onwards – as well as the upcoming breakthrough AFC Women’s Champions League™ season.

RIyadh: Abu Dhabi Club captain Fatima Alhosani celebrated her team’s qualification to the AFC Women’s Champions League™ 2024/25 group stage by praising the collective efforts that propelled them to defeat Al Nassr Club of Saudi Arabia 1-0 in their Preliminary Stage tie on Saturday.

A listless first half saw both sides toil in front of goal until second half substitute Rekha Poudel broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, calmly slotting home the winning goal after Abu Dhabi keeper Jeane Da Cruz launched a precise long ball to Eugenia Tetteh, who set up the decisive finish.

Al Nassr Club, reduced to 10 players after Clara Luvanga was sent off with 15 minutes left on the clock, could not overcome the numerical disadvantage, leaving Abu Dhabi Club to secure a narrow victory.
