Latest update on AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that the AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25 Group F match between Port FC (Thailand) and Lion City Sailors FC (Singapore) could not take place due to adverse weather conditions and safety reasons.

The match was scheduled to be played today at the Pathum Thani Stadium in Bangkok at 1900 hours local time and has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the same venue and at the same time.

Manila: Australia’s Sydney FC overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat Kaya FC-Iloilo of the Philippines 4-1 in their AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25 Group E tie at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday.

Sydney shrugged off early resistance from Kaya to make it two wins out of two, having powered to a 5-0 victory over Hong Kong’s Eastern on opening day.

Jeonju: Three goals in nine second half minutes saw Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors hand Thailand’s Muangthong United a 4-1 defeat at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Thursday as the former continental champions claimed a second win in Group H of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2024/25.

Moon Seon-min scored in the 51st and 59th minutes with his goals coming either side of a strike by 55th minute effort from Lee Yeong-jae as the K-League side followed up their opening victory over Dynamic Herb Cebu in style.

Sorawit Panthong did pull one back for Muangthong in the 66th minute but Jin Tae-ho restored the three-goal cushion with six minutes remaining to complete an empathic second half performance from the hosts.

The outcome marked a significant turnaround after Muangthong had created the better chances in the opening 45 minutes without finding the net.
