Vietnam, Myanmar stay perfect

Manila: Defending champions Vietnam capped a five-star performance in the AFF Women’s Championship 2022 after defeating Laos 5-0 in their Group B fixture at the Binan Football Stadium on Saturday.

Myanmar also registered a convincing win, scoring three unanswered goals against Cambodia to take maximum points over two matches.

Both teams have six points with Myanmar leading the standings - thanks to a superior goal difference.

Philippines tighten grip, Australia and Thailand cruise

Manila: Philippines continued their dominant run in the AFF Women’s Championship 2022 after defeating Malaysia 4-0 in their Group A fixture at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Friday.

Australia and Thailand also registered convincing victories over Indonesia and Singapore respectively in the other Group A fixtures.

Philippines lead the standings with nine points, two ahead of Thailand with Australia third on four points.
