Vietnam beat Thailand to clinch third title

Bangkok: Vietnam were crowned the 2024 ASEAN Championship winners after defeating Thailand 3-2 in the second leg of the final on Sunday.

Vietnam won 5-3 on aggregate to lift the trophy for a third time, having previously emerged champions in 2008 and 2018.

Ulsan: Korea Republic international striker Joo Min-kyu has left two-time AFC Champions League™ winners Ulsan HD to sign for Daejeon Hana Citizen.

The 34-year-old made the switch to bring an end to a two-year spell with Ulsan, during which time he scored 27 times in 69 K League matches and won back-to-back domestic league titles. It was his second stint with the club having spent a season there in 2019.

Kuala Lumpur: The inaugural AFC Women’s Champions League™ season will mark another milestone on Wednesday, January 8 when the official draw ceremony for the Knockout Stage takes place at 3pm at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.

Eight teams are still standing in the 2024/25 campaign, which kicked off last August with the Preliminary Stage and subsequently concluded the Group Stage in October.
