Japan beat DPR Korea to retain gold

Hangzhou: Japan retained the women's football gold medal at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Friday as three goals in six second half minutes earned Michihisa Kano’s side a 4-1 win over DPR Korea at Huanglong Sports Centre Stadium.

Yoshino Nakashima had put the Japanese in front before Kim Kyong Yong levelled the scores but goals from Haruka Osawa, Momoko Tanikawa and Remina Chiba sealed the win as Japan won the title for third time in four tournaments.
