Al Ain: Salem Al Dawsari scored a hat trick to ensure 10-man Al Hilal SFC edged Al Ain FC 5-4 in a drama-packed thriller at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium on Monday as Jorge Jesus’ side continued their perfect start to the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25.

Goals from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Al Dawsari in first half injury time looked to have swung the tie in the Saudi Pro League side’s favour after Soufiane Rahimi had earlier cancelled out Renan Lodi’s 26th minute opener for the visitors.

But a frantic second half sparked to life when Mateo Sanabria pulled one back for Al Ain in the 63rd minute and Al Dawsari’s second less than two minutes later restored the two-goal difference between the teams.

Latest update on AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed today that the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ - Road to 26 Group A matches between DPR Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as DPR Korea and Uzbekistan, will take place at the Lao National Stadium KM16, Vientiane, Laos (neutral venue).

The match between DPR Korea and Islamic Republic of Iran is scheduled for November 14, while DPR Korea play Uzbekistan on November 19, 2024. Both matches will kick off at 1900 hours local time.
