Doha: Al Khaleej defeated Al Hilal SFC for the first time in 15 meetings as they ended the four-time Asian champions' phenomenal Saudi Pro League unbeaten run.

Al Duhail SC maintained their grip on the Qatar Stars League top spot with a 5-0 defeat of Al Arabi while Sharjah opened a two-point advantage in the UAE Pro League.

In Japan, Vissel Kobe beat Gamba Osaka in the final of the Emperor's Cup to stay on track for a domestic double as well while Ulsan HD saw off Suwon FC 4-2 to finish eight points ahead of second-placed Gangwon FC in Korea Republic.
