Hong Kong: Kim Dong-jin has taken over as interim head coach of Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee, replacing Alex Chu at the helm less than a week before the club’s AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 meeting with Singapore’s Lion City Sailors in Group F.

Hangzhou: Wang Shanshan’s third minute opener sent China PR on their way to a comfortable 4-0 win over Thailand at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday to set up a semi-final meeting with defending champions Japan.

The Japanese stormed into the last four with an 8-1 defeat of a short-handed Philippines side while DPR Korea will meet Uzbekistan after respective victories over Korea Republic and Chinese Taipei took the pair through.

Kathmandu: Manglenthang Kipgen came off the bench to score twice as India defeated Pakistan 3-0 to lift the SAFF U-19 Championship 2023 title at the Dasharath Rangasala Stadium on Saturday.

Gwgwmsar Goyary netted in stoppage time as India won the title for the third time, with the tournament having also been contested as Under-18 and Under-20 events previously.
