IR Iran end 2021 as Asia's top men's team

Kuala Lumpur: Islamic Republic of Iran ended the year as Asia's best ranked team, following the latest FIFA World Ranking announced on Thursday. 

Iran, who were in phenomenal form in the AFC Asian Qualifiers - Road to Qatar, remain 21st in the FIFA World Ranking.

Los Angeles: After leading Australia to the last two AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals, Alen Stajcic believes he can take Philippines further than they’ve ever been at India 2022.

Having gone within one win of securing a first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification when they finished fifth at the 2018 continental Finals in Jordan, the Southeast Asian nation appointed the former Matildas boss in October with the goal of reaching the global stage.

Navi Mumbai: The anticipation to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022™ is reaching an all-time high with only 30 days to go before the tournament kicks off across three venues in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Pune from January 20 to February 6.

Singapore, Indonesia settle for first leg draw

Singapore: Singapore fought back from a goal down to salvage a 1-1 draw against Indonesia in the first left of the AFF Cup semi-finals on Wednesday. 

Witan Sulaeman’s first half strike gave Indonesia the lead, with Ikhsan Fandi drawing Singapore level 20 minutes from time, leaving Saturday’s second leg tantasilingly poised.
