IR Iran, Mali friendly cancelled

Antalya: Tuesday's international friendly match between Islamic Republic of Iran and Mali has been cancelled. 

Fédération Malienne de Football released a statement on its social media channels, announcing the cancellation after two Malian players tested positive for COVID-19.

Persepolis' Khalilzadeh voted as winner of AFC Champions League 2020 Goal of the West

Kuala Lumpur: Shojae Khalilzadeh's effort for Persepolis FC against UAE's Sharjah has been voted as the AFC Champions League 2020 Goal of the West.

Khalilzadeh got the Islamic Republic of Iran champions on the road to a victory they needed to advance to the Round of 16 with his header as Persepolis scored a 4-0 win in their Matchday Six tie.

Antalya: Reigning AFC Asian Cup champions Qatar suffered a 5-1 defeat to Ghana in an international friendly at the Mardan Sports Complex in Turkey on Monday.

Qatar, who were playing their first international match in 11 months, held their own in the first half which finished 1-1 but found Ghana hard to contain in the second period.
