Buenos Aires: Japan booked a place in the 2018 Youth Olympics semi-finals after coming from two goals down to defeat Dominican Republic 6-2 in a Group D tie at the Main Futsal Hall in Buenos Aires on Thursday.
It was Japan's third win on the trot and secured them a place in the last four with a match to spare.
The East Asians play Portugal on Saturday to determine the group winners and they won't be lacking in confidence after having also defeated Cameroon (6-2) and Chile (4-1) in their earlier matches.
Against Dominican Republic, Japan endured a difficult opening period as a brace from Alondra Collado (3rd, 4th) gave Dominican Republic a great start to the match.
