Kuwait City: Egypt left it late to salvage a 1-1 draw with Kuwait in an international friendly on Friday.
Fahad Al Ansari put Kuwait in front after six minutes of play in front of their home fans at the Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium to take a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Egypt were without their talisman Mohamed Salah, who will play for Liverpool in Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid, as the visitors found it hard to break down the hosts in the second half.
Radojko Avramovic's men were heading for the win but the Super Eagles had other ideas as substitute Ayman Ashraf squeezed home a square pass from Mahmoud Kahraba for the 81st-minute equaliser.
