Hagatna: Richard K Lai, who is an AFC Executive Committee member, has been re-elected as the President of the Guam Football Association (GFA) for the next four-year term, the GFA has announced.
At the GFA Congress held last Monday, Pascual Artero was re-elected Vice-President, while George Lai, Gian Tenorio and Kun Ho Rhee were also elected to the executive committee of the GFA, which was established in 1975.
In a letter sent to AFC general secretary Dato’ Alex Soosay, Guam has vowed to grow in future and asked for further support from AFC. The GFA was accepted as a member of AFC in 1992 and four years later got the full membership of FIFA.
Guam has been actively participating in AFC educational seminars as well as competitions including the Festivals of East Zone and youth competitions qualifiers.
